Rebecca Harris MP was invited by People's Postcode Lottery to come and see close to 1,000 Canvey residents be told about their winning amounts of between £13,000 and £800,000 following the draw a few days ago.

There was a truly lovely atmosphere as people from all walks of life living in that bit of the island walked in full of anticipation and nerves and walked out with life changing amounts of money!

Rebecca commented: "It was a morning I will never forget! A massive congratulations to everyone who played and won. I am sure the restaurants and bars on the island will be very busy tonight."

As well as changing lives of winners, People's Postcode Lottery also support lots of good causes with 33% of every ticket price going to support charities including Alzheimer's Society, Dogs Trust, Guide Dogs UK.
