Communities in postcodes across Britain are winning thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery. In 2024, grassroots good causes can apply for up to £25,000 of funding from the Postcode Places Trust, which covers the east of England
Over £67,000, raised by People’s Postcode Lottery players, has already made a difference to many small, local good causes in Castle Point.
Rebecca Harris MP said: “Following on from the fantastic win for the SS8 7 postcode, which brought lots of joy to the lucky Canvey residents last Christmas, I thought it was important to raise awareness of how local charities can also benefit. I’m very glad to raise awareness of the good work the People’s Postcode Lottery has done in Castle Point- so more people can apply for funding in the future.”
Director of Public Affairs at People’s Postcode Lottery, Malcolm Fleming, added: “The money raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery is making a huge difference in communities across the country. We want to do all we can to help local charities and good causes successfully apply. Our free virtual workshop is a useful opportunity for smaller, local charities and groups to find out about the funding available, get pointers on applying and ask us any questions.”
More than £1.3 billion million has been raised for thousands of charities and good causes, thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
