Today Rebecca Harris MP attended a tree planting ceremony, hosted by Trust Links, as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy. The Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC) is a unique tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022 which invites people from across the United Kingdom to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee”.
Rebecca commented: “It was wonderful to attend the tree planting ceremony today as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy, created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee this year."
The Lord-Lieutenant of Essex Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst planted the tree in Trust Links Charity Growing Together Thundersley garden. The Mayor of Castle point Councillor Patricia Haunts, Councillor Andrew Shelton, and representatives of the Canvey Island Big Local Committee were also able to attend the event.
