Rebecca visited the new branch of Stibbard and Sons funeral directors, a sixth generation family owned and managed funeral director which puts an emphasis on heritage and traditions whilst also understanding we exist in a modern, diverse community, with changing needs.
The company had always been based at New Road Corner, with the premises expanding and adapting over time to meet the changing needs of the company. In 1925 David and Albert, Samuel’s sons took over the running of the business. Since then much has changed in the company’s structure, but S. Stibbards & Sons is still owned and run by direct descendants of Samuel Stibbards.
Rebecca welcomed the new facility and said: 'I am proud to be here opening this new branch of such a reputable family run business. Stibbard and Sons' being places care of the bereaved and their loved ones at the heart of what they do and I am honoured they asked me to be here today'
They now have seven branches: the head office in Hadleigh, and branch offices at Leigh-on-Sea, Canvey Island, Southend, Shoeburyness and Hockley and most recently Benfleet. They continue to provide care and support to their clients during a difficult time and exercise the utmost professionalism in helping them arrange a fitting tribute to their loved ones.
They recently opened a new branch, Weir View House, which provides exceptional services, not only to those entrusted into their care but also their relatives and hardworking dedicated employees, who provide the support and service families rely on. This state of the art facility has large gathering rooms, bespoke washing facilities and two spacious Chapels of rest
