Rebecca Harris has welcomed the Conservative Party manifesto announcements. 

• Extra funding for the NHS, with 50,000 more nurses and 50 million more GP surgery appointments a year.
• An Australian-style points-based system to control immigration.
• 20,000 more police and tougher sentencing for criminals.
• Millions more invested every week in science, schools, apprenticeships and infrastructure while controlling debt
• Reaching Net Zero by 2050 with investment in clean energy solutions and green infrastructure to reduce carbon emissions and pollution. 
• Maintain the triple lock protection of pensions, the winter fuel payment and the older person’s bus pass as it is important that people have the security they deserve.

Rebecca is delighted that these promises are fully funded without an extra tax burden on working people. The Conservatives will not raise income tax, VAT or national insurance.

Rebecca said today: “I am pleased to see the plans laid out in the 2019 manifesto as it will strengthen both Britain and Castle Point. Only the Conservative's will have us out of the European Union early next year and ready to unleash our country’s potential.

“Our ambitious plan for the country will enhance our public services, protect incomes and honour the result of the referendum. Parliament has been paralysed by Brexit and only a Conservative majority on December 12th can move the country forward.”
