Rebecca Harris MP is supporting a new grant scheme to improve public safety in Essex.
Titled the Community Safety Initiatives Fund, local groups with strong community links will be able to apply. The grant aims to fund projects that will improve or promote public safety, especially by reducing violence or helping vulnerable residents.
There is a lot of funding available, with grants from £500 to £2,000 available. £100,000 in total will be awarded.
Rebecca commented: “I am delighted to support this new grant scheme to improve public safety. I know speaking form residents that this is a priority for many and the Council is now awarding funding to help tackle it. This is a great opportunity for organisations in Castle Point to apply and gain resources to continue to help keep our community safe.”
If you or someone you know wants to apply, there is a specific set of criteria for the grant that can be found linked here, on the Essex County Council website.
